How to apply to become a NZTN Provider

We are looking to recruit mental health providers who are keen to offer services via telehealth.

Mental health therapy services can be provided by:

  • Psychiatrists
  • Psychologists
  • Psychotherapists
  • Counsellors
  • Social Workers
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Other professionals who have had the necessary training

A young person who is 16 years of age or older has the capacity to provide consent for their treatment as though they were an adult. Due to the nature of our services being provided exclusively online, individuals must be aged16 years or over to access them. In the event that you are engaging with individuals aged 16 to 17 years, it is necessary to possess a valid Children's Safety Worker Check report.


Requirements

Documents
  • Annual Practicing Certificate Current and valid professional registration and APC (if required for you to practice within your designated profession).
  • Indemnity Insurance Current and valid professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Police Vetting Clear NZPV report (we will submit an application during onboarding)
  • Children's Worker Safety Check* Valid CWSC report (*if you work with young adults 16y - 17y)
Technology
  • Computer equipment and connectivity to access and enter patient information into the Provider Portal
  • IOS device with a minimum of iOS 14.0 OR a desktop/laptop
  • Video camera and/or software via iPhone/iPad or desktop/laptop to conduct video conferencing exclusively on the NZTN platform
Compliance
  • Independent contractor agreement
  • Active "NZTN tier" Provider Portal account (this will be set up during onboarding)
  • Participate in required orientation and competency training

After you have applied to join our team, we will review your application and make a decision.

If approved, we will guide you through the onboarding process to ensure you are fully prepared and ready to meet with clients.
